The project called Children's Week, which is realized within the program of the Okrug Summer Evenings, has been held continuously since 2010. The program was implemented with the support of the Municipality of Okrug and TZ Okrug in cooperation with the National University of Dubrava, then the Association 4 image, and since 2017, when the founder of Children's Week, Maja Marohnić and her team founded the association Murtila based in Okrug Gornji, the association becomes holder and organizer of the project in partnership with the Municipality of Okrug.
Children's week during the Okrug Summer Evenings consists of theater performances and creative workshops after the performances, and large creative workshops on the beach during the day (from 10 am to 12 noon). It takes place in Okrug Gornji and Okrug Donji. The beneficiaries of the program are children and young people, domestic and foreign guests of our municipality, but also all other interested visitors and all age groups.
The project covers the entire range of human, primarily children's creativity and cultural activities, which fits into the cultural and tourism strategy of Croatia, and contributes to the development of cultural tourism at the local and national level. After many years of successful cooperation with the municipality of Okrug, we are enriching and improving the program every year.
Thus, in addition to the aforementioned children's program, we have organized a concert of classical music in the parish church for years, and since 2019, a photo competition called Hidden beauty of Okrug has been organized.
